VCC Golf Course Opening Guidelines

Attention Members,

We are excited to inform you that Governor Tom Wolf announced that Golf can return to the Commonwealth effective May 1. Clarkie & I and our Staff understand there are many questions that need to be answered before reopening. Listed below are all of the necessary guidelines and protocols that will need to be followed to make this process successful.

Valley CC Guidelines for a Safe Reopening

1. Staffing
a. All fees will be billed to Member Accounts, no daily transactions will be made without prior arrangements.
b. Golf Staff will provide Carts, Players should retain personal possession of their golf bags after round, bag storage area will not be available.
c. Golf Staff will provide, sanitize and maintain motorized carts and/or pull carts for members use before and after each round.
e. Clubhouse Staff will Maintain and Sanitize On-Course Restrooms.
f. Staff will wear protective gloves and face masks.
g. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your tee time.
h. Special Attention should be paid to prohibit grouping in the parking lot and the 1st Tee at all times.

2. Common Use Items/Equipment
a. All rakes have been removed from the bunkers.
Players should smooth the sand after use using their shoes or a club.
b. No Tees, Scorecards, Ball Markers or other common use items will be provided.
c. Ball Washers and Water Coolers have been removed from Golf Course.
d. Flagsticks should not be removed . Foam inserts will be used while leaving the flagstick in place.

3. Tee Times
Golf Course will open Daily @ 8:30am
Holes 4 & 5 will be Closed Temporarily, we are in the process of repairing the cart paths in those areas, After completing play on hole # 3 please proceed to hole #6.

a. Tee times are Mandatory & will be spaced fifteen minutes apart,
to minimize chance of congregating on the first tee. We will be using Chronogolf to schedule tee times, Chronogolf will launch today, Wednesday May 29th at 4:00pm.

4. Social Distancing
If you are sick stay home! If you have been around someone who is/was sick we ask you to stay home for the safety of other golfers and our golf & golf course staff.
a. Social distancing should be strictly maintained at all times.
b. No balls or equipment should be shared or exchanged.

5. Clubhouse/Pro Shop
a. Pro shops will remain closed to in-person retail sales.
b. Clubhouse/restaurants will be Closed,
c. Our Curbside Take Out Service will be available, Menu’s will be in the Cart Indicators, Please call to allow proper time for preparation of your order before you complete your round! To place an Order Please call 570 788 1114.

6. Driving Range
HOURS- 8:00AM – 6:00PM
Range will Be Open, We must Practice Social Distancing at all times. All players must follow the CDC Guidelines.

2nd Annual – VCC “Race the Course” 5K Run & Hill Climb Fun Walk (NEW DATE – 9/5/20)

We are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual – VCC “Race the Course” 5K and Hill Climb Fun Walk has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 5th 2020! Our unique 5K course traverses all 18 holes of the Valley Country Club’s Tillinghast designed golf course. The fun walk will include the climb and descent of our picturesque, switchback style club entrance road.
